Individual Psychotherapy, also known as counseling or therapy, is a collaborative process between the therapist and client with a goal of improving the quality of life and facilitating change. I have strong belief that everyone is the expert of their own life. This means that I do not consider the therapist the expert, but rather, I see the client as the expert. I am constantly curious, and avoid making assumptions. No two clients are the same. Everyone’s view of what life without a particular problem or what “better” looks like is different, so I will not assume to know what this is for any person. As a therapist, my role is to facilitate a conversation that will help clients find what solution will work for them.
